The working development plan for Southlands calls for a mix of small specialist retail that provides residents with the ability to stroll to the corner store or coffee shop or pub. The retail shops and services will be designed to support agriculture. Locally grown food will be, literally, at your front door.

Tsawwassen residents who walk or bike through Southlands on their way to the Boundary Bay can plan their trip around ice cream or coffee stops and the creation of a Market Square and Farmers' Market, where local artisans and businesses can access the local market, add significant colour and interest to our community.

The additional retail opportunities at Southlands will compliment Tsawwassen’s current services and provide significant employment opportunities.
