Views & Vistas

The Southlands is a large open space surrounded by development. The location of many existing Tsawwassen homes offers vistas over the property toward Boundary Bay.

The working development plan for Southlands preserves in perpetuity more than two thirds of the land for local agriculture operated by a community trust. Less than one third of the existing land is proposed for development, and it will be in a compact form generally along the south part of the site.

Views from 56th Street will continue to look over open space, either park or the community trust farm. Most of that land is a contiguous open space running all the way from 56th Street.
