How do our existing streets handle additional traffic created by new development on Southlands?

We’re going to design and build the new neighbourhoods on the Southlands in a way that it makes it convenient for people not to have to get in their cars to go buy a quart of milk, take the kids to their games or go see a friend.

Most of the traffic on the streets in Tsawwassen today is traffic related to such local trips because our current neighbourhoods weren’t designed to make it easy to walk, to cycle or access transit.

People who can get by with a single car will occupy most of the homes planned for Southlands.
